The Jurassic Coast on Ceramics

Local ceramicist Janine Roper will be showing how she worked from her new drawings and ideas that focused on the Jurassic Coast through to the finished design on her popular small ceramics. All her ceramics are hand built, and she screen prints onto them using oxides, mainly traditional cobalt blue. After the first firing, the pieces are glazed and re-fired. Then the magic happens, as the beautiful colours of the oxides shine through. Most of her work is then finished with extravagant gold lustre.
