THINGifications
THINGifications is a growing, evolving collection of artworks otherwise known as THINGs, co-created with the people of Portsmouth and Aspex
The THINGs respond to and expand upon the themes of identity explored in our main gallery exhibition, CLASSifications. Participants have been challenged and encouraged to create pieces that reflect their identity through a single image or object. These creations highlight our commitment to environmental sustainability, echoing the practices of artists Jasleen Kaur, Dinu Li, Jamila Prowse, and Joshua Raffell, who utilise found and repurposed materials in their installations and assemblages.
The exhibition will continue to expand throughout the Summer of 2024, growing with each new engagement activity. We invite you to return to see how THINGifications grows and transforms.
THINGifications is an ongoing project led and facilitated by our Creative Engagement Team with our local communities, including participants from Family Saturdays, The Hayling College, Enable Ability, The Roberts Centre, Portsmouth Young Carers, Portsmouth City of Sanctuary and HomeStart Stay & Play at Buckland Family Hub.
