Summer Show
Our annual exhibition celebrating the unique quality and craftsmanship of our Maker Members.
It all began back in 1955 when a group of local makers worked together and organised a joint exhibition of their work, which has inspired others ever since. The Summer Show is a showcase of some of the finest craftsmanship from our Membership, chosen by our Selection Committee: a group of Maker Member representatives from a range of craft disciplines and an independent panellist, alongside MAKE Southwest exhibition staff.
Each year prizes are awarded to exhibitors whose work shows an outstanding use of craft skill and innovation. The following awards will be presented:
President’s Prize - Chosen by MAKE Southwest President Peter Randall-Page RA
Selection Committee Award for Excellence - Chosen by the Selection Committee
Green Maker Award - Selected by University of Plymouth and the Green Maker Initiative
People’s Choice Award – You too can vote for your favourite Maker from the exhibition
