Exhibition by Kate Westbrook - Writing The Song
Writing The Song is a lovely collection of oil paintings by Kate Westbrook depicting life during lockdown with her husband, Mike.
Kate Westbrook was the first artist selected by gallery owner Catherine Gillen to hold a solo exhibition ten years ago and so it is very fitting to show her new work Writing the Song as part of the gallery's tenth Anniversary celebrations.
Kate has had a distinguished career both as an artist and as a singer with her husband, international jazz composer and musician, Mike Westbrook. Together they have travelled the world and recently completed a stint at Ronnie Scott's in London but Kate says this new exhibition is more nerve-wracking!
Tender and moving, Writing the Song is an intimate portrayal of Kate and Mike’s life in Lockdown.
