Celia Pym – Bags
Exhibition of works by Celia Pym exploring damage and repair.
Celia Pym is an artist living and working in London. Her work considers acts of care, primarily through exploring damage and repair in textiles, often attending to garments belonging to individuals.
In this exhibition we present a collection of works, made over the past 3 years, in which the acts of care and attention are now found in mended paper bags. These works move away from a feeling of repair for use, instead becoming containers to hold and highlight damage and fragility.
Celia Pym, Bags.
Opens Friday 29th March, 6pm. All welcome.
Continues Saturday 4th May. Open Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays. 10:00-16:00.
