BLOOM
An exhibition featuring beautiful floral still-life paintings, BLOOM is a celebration of summer and also the gallery’s first anniversary
An exuberant exhibition - full of vibrant colours and texture with something that will appeal to everyone. A celebration of the beauty of still-life floral painting focussing on seven of the gallery’s talented female British artists; Trish Buckingham, Kirsten Elswood, Jo Faulkner, Helen Manning Clark, Jurgi Moor, Jan Munro and Alison Rose.
Lots of lovely, locally grown flowers many of which are reflected in the paintings, will be displayed in an array of handmade ceramic and glass vases, including those by Bob Crooks, Richard Glass, RAMP, Anna Silverton and Michael Taylor.
There will also be new jewellery by Catherine Hills, Holly Belsher, Katy Mackenzie and Louise O’Neill.
This exhibition is a fitting tribute to summer - its warmth, its colours, its scents and long sun-filled days spent outdoors - and a wonderful way to round off what has been an exceptional first year for the gallery, as well as a heartfelt thank you to all their customers, near and far.
