Hweg
Art Space in Penzance
Hweg is an artist-led gallery in Penzance. It’s aim is to be a vibrant and varied space that supports and contributes to the overall creative vitality of Penzance and the wider arts ecology. Situated on the ground floor of a home and on the high street in Penzance, Hweg aims to provide a space for encounters with a diverse range of contemporary art practices within a more domestic and accessible setting.
Directed by arts educator and curator Joe Lyward (Kettle’s Yard, The Box, Tate St Ives). Hweg’s programme aims to give opportunities to artists with a contemporary arts practice. Both locally as well as presenting artists from other regions and internationally. Including exhibition opportunities for new and established artists, and provide new inspirations for artists and visitors alike.
