Ann Christopher - Broken Time
Ann Christopher’s solo exhibition — ‘Broken Time is a first at Gallery Pangolin and includes a series of fifteen new drawings created during lockdown.
Christopher’s work explores and draws from found lines, shapes, colours, patterns and shadows, seen in the everyday, happened across, ordinary objects; phone wires, window frames, rock formations and the spaces between them.
Christopher, who has curated the ‘Broken Time’ exhibition herself, has put a ten year timeline on the works included. It’s not a retrospective, it’s a collection of works that work together in her mind , many of which have never been shown at Gallery Pangolin before.
Christopher enjoys working in a wide range of materials, showcased in Broken Time is bronze, stainless steel, sterling silver and corten. Comprising of both large and small sculpture, with extra additions such as neoprene, aluminium and and her new favourite material concrete! - Making Broken Time unmissable for material lovers!
