Wild Clay Workshop
Join us at Lyde Green Pottery where we will explore digging, processing and making with ‘wild’ clay, straight out the ground.
This one day workshop explores the work at Lyde Green Pottery, where we will be learning about the ideas behind the project, the medieval kiln made and fired from industry waste and processing the wild clay dug up by recent new developments.
Once the clay is processed we will explore methods and techniques and create functional or sculptural works.
You’ll then be free to take your work away with you or leave it behind to be fired in the Lyde Green kiln and collected at a later date. There will also be a chance to sign up as a volunteer during the firing!
Price: £100 pp
Date: 27th August
Time: 10am - 6pm
Address: Lyde Green Pottery, Brandy Bottom Colliery, BS16 7NS
10 places available
An info pack with Public Transport and parking options will be sent once you sign up.
