Up River
Lesley Kerman I live by the River Exe, and the River, which is always present, has found its way into my paintings.
Since the first lockdown began in March 2020, we have all been more attentive to our immediate surroundings.

I live by the River Exe, and the River, which is always present, has found its way into my paintings.
I am reminded of an observation made by the anthropologist Michael Taussig. He wrote:
'To make an image is to release a spirit.'
