THG Open Winners' Exhibitions - Kyle Baker
Exhibition of work by photographer Kyle Baker, winner of Best Emerging Artist prize in the THG Open 2023.
Kyle Baker is a self-taught photographer and film maker based in Sidmouth, East Devon. He set up his business with the help of the Prince's Trust in 2016. Kyle specialises in seascapes alongside landscapes and nightscapes.
Kyle is always on or by the sea, surfing from a young age and as part of the crew of the Sidmouth Independent Lifeboat for the last seven years.
'I am very much an “in the moment” photographer. I try to capture moments which other people might not be able to see or enjoy, especially from the perspective of the sea. Actually being in the sea as I take the photos adds a totally unique dimension to the artworks.'
