In John Carpenter’s 1980’s maritime ghost story, centenary celebrations in the coastal town of Antonio Bay are beset by strange occurrences. From the sea emerge the ghosts that seek revenge for the sins of the town’s founders.

“I don’t know what happened to Antonio Bay tonight. Something came out of the fog and tried to destroy us... To the ships at sea who can hear my voice, look across the water, into the darkness. Look for the fog.” Stevie Wayne in The Fog

This Halloween edition of Celluloid Psychology will be introduced by Dr Alastair Smith, a cognitive neuropsychologist, who will discuss themes of storytelling and collective memory.
