Pride of Portsmouth Lion Exhibition

Discover the designs set to roar across Portsmouth this summer in the Pride of Portsmouth Lion Trail exhibition.

This exhibition showcases shortlisted designs from 46 emerging and established artistic voices, all with deep connections to the city. Step inside to explore the creative visions and personal stories that will soon bring Portsmouth’s streets to life.

Each lion has been reimagined through bold artistic ideas and diverse styles, reflecting what makes Portsmouth unique. The designs explore powerful themes such as inclusion and diversity, local heritage, and community pride, whilst celebrating the spirit, creativity, and identity that define our city.

This free exhibition offers a unique chance to explore the artists’ work up close before the final designs are selected and transformed into large-scale sculptures for a citywide art trail this summer as part of the Portsmouth 100 Celebrations.
