Photoworks, In Focus Photography Club
Join our new photography club for neurodivergent adults
Join Photoworks and Aspex Portsmouth for a free programme of inclusive and creative workshops, led by artist Kate Watson.
Our new, inclusive photography club for neurodivergent adults and their support workers introduces participants to alternative and sensory forms of portraiture to explore identity, community and representation.
No previous experience or specialist kit is required. We provide everything you need.
Over the course of 5 weekly sessions, participants will be supported to build camera skills, and explore a range of creative photography techniques, including photo montage, camera-less photography and tactile printing.
The club offers a supportive space for participants and their support workers to access and enjoy photography as a creative pursuit, make new friends and explore the possibilities of the medium as a means of creative expression and communication.
Workshops feature practical activities and are designed to be playful and fun, with a focus on creativity and participation.
There are three phases of weekly courses available:
Phase 1: Mon 27 February, Mon 6 March, Mon 13 March, Mon 20 March, Mon 27 March.
Phase 2: Mon 17 April, Mon 24 April, Mon 15 May, Mon 22 May, Mon 5 June.
Phase 3: Mon 19 June, Mon 26 June, Mon 3 July, Mon 10 July, Mon 17 July.
