Though each artist in Personal Mythology brings a distinct voice and practice, the exhibition is shaped by the creative synergy of a close-knit circle of artist friends. Close collaboration allows the group to spark ideas and push one another’s artistic limits, while maintaining individual approaches and perspectives.

Personal Mythology explores deeply personal inner worlds connected through shared motifs, monsters, anthropomorphic folk creatures, and enchanted, otherworldly landscapes as doorways to integration. Through their works, the artists reveal imaginary realms and whimsical yet eerie dreamscapes, where the familiar bends into the fantastical.

The exhibition showcases a wide variety of techniques and media, from lush oil paintings and soft pastels to intricate paper cuts and collages, expressive drawings, and mesmerising puppetry.
