An exhibition of recent paintings and sculpture by Stuart Edmundson
Stuart Edmundson has exhibited his work in numerous Solo and Group exhibitions including; “Like Dancing to Dogs…” at the international 3, “Beyond the end Game: abstract painting in Manchester” at Manchester Art Gallery and “Madness Becomes Method” at Modul, Dresden.
He has taught on Undergraduate and Post graduate Fine Art courses Including Leeds Arts University, Manchester School of Art and University of Central Lancashire. He also works on numerous Artist led curatorial projects. His work is held in Private collections in the UK and Europe.
This is a new body of work exploring found/personal images and personal histories through abstract paintings and objects. "The work seems to continuously morph from one idea to the next, whilst acknowledging its position within the “Grand continuum of Painting” it can, sometimes, be found mocking those conventions through the use of pastiche / cliche imagery."
