Heavy Plant Crossing

Join us in the Project Space after artists from Uni­ver­si­ty of Ply­mouth have turned it into a liv­ing lab­o­ra­to­ry — test­ing ideas and cre­at­ing new work.

Join us this May as artists transform Grow’s Project Space into a living laboratory - testing ideas, creating new work, and inviting you into the process.

PUBLIC EVENTS
Opening Night // Thursday 8 May, 5–8pm
Celebrate the culmination of Heavy Plant Crossing (Phase 1) with an evening of performance, conversation, and a preview of works developed during the residency.

Show Open // Friday 9 & Saturday 10 May, 11am–3pm
Explore an evolving exhibition of experimental works in ceramics, performance, print, sculpture, installation, and more.

This is part of the first residency of 2025 at Grow, which is unfolding in two phases across three weeks:

Phase 1: MA Fine Art Students
28 April – 10 May
Adriana Banari, Maryam Banifateme, Shannon Fennell, Anna Goodchild, Stephen Harding, and Kat Sedgeman develop and exhibit work in real time - creating, collaborating, and transforming the space.

Phase 2: PhD Artists
11 – 18 May
Yan Feng, Jane Walker, and Yin-wen Lin will continue the residency, bringing new perspectives and practices into the space
