Hidden Gallery, renowned for its expertise in exceptional and rare artworks, is thrilled to announce its upcoming exhibition, ‘Made in Paris’. Hidden’s latest collection features original works on paper by the biggest names in Modern Art, specifically the pre-eminent masters who established Paris as the world’s art capital. From the 17th to the 30th of June, ‘Made in Paris’ promises to bring the City of Light to a small corner of Bristol by showcasing extraordinary original prints by Matisse, Léger, Picasso, Chagall, Calder, Munch, Miró and more.

“With the upcoming 2024 Olympics, Paris finds itself at the apex of cultural conversation,” said Amy Hampshire, senior manager of Hidden Gallery, Bristol. “While these artists are a staple for us at Hidden, there could be no better time to host an exhibition of works created at the most acclaimed ateliers in the capital than now.”

Chagall himself remarked that “an artist has no home in Europe except in Paris,” a city renowned for its strong colony of artists who developed both friendships and rivalries that bolstered each of their individual careers. Art enthusiasts and collectors alike are invited to immerse themselves in Hidden Gallery’s latest collection of original prints, which juxtaposes masterpieces by these artists to explore how they each helped to cement Paris’ avant-garde reputation.

From 6pm – 8pm on the 27th of June, Hidden Gallery will be collaborating with Fears Watch Company for an evening of late-night shopping. Visitors are invited to The Clifton Arcade for a glass of complimentary fizz to toast Hidden Gallery’s ‘Made in Paris’ exhibition, and to browse Fears’ collection of elegant, hand-built watches.
