Looking to explore your creativity or reignite your passion for printmaking? Our 5-Week Introduction to Printmaking Course is the perfect way to dive into the world of print, whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refresh existing skills.

Held in our fully equipped open-access print studio in Exeter, this afternoon course offers a hands-on exploration of a range of traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques. Over five weeks, you'll experiment with monoprinting, collagraphs, drypoint etching, and relief printing, discovering the versatility and expressive potential of each process.

Guided by expert printmaker Lynn Bailey, you’ll learn how to use professional tools and presses in a supportive and relaxed studio environment. This course is designed to help you build confidence and develop a strong foundation in printmaking methods while encouraging your own creative voice.

At the end of the 5 weeks, you'll have the option to continue your journey by choosing one of our follow-on courses:
– A-Z of Linocutting: A 5-week deep dive into relief printing using lino techniques
– Progress in Print: A 5-week developmental course focusing on intaglio processes such as etching and drypoint

Whether you're an artist, a hobbyist, or simply curious about trying something new, this course is a fantastic opportunity to learn printmaking in Devon’s creative community.
