Inspirational Women Artists Closing Celebration
This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating our latest exhibition ‘Inspirational Women Artists’ and the brilliant community of artists involved.
Having recently exhibited at God’s House Tower, this closing event is one last chance to see the collection of empowering and thought-provoking works submitted by over 100 UK and overseas artists. From intricate illustrations to graphic prints and quirky collages, the exhibition highlights the influential impact of women artists past and present and how their legacy has inspired the artists of today.
You’ll have the chance to take home the works on display by taking part in our Silent Auction. For each artwork sold, 50% of the proceeds will go to the artist who made the work and 50% will be donated to Yellow Door, a Southampton-based charity that prevents and responds to domestic and sexual abuse, and we’ll be announcing the final amount raised at the end of the evening as our guest hosts from Yellow Door join us.
Sound artist and composer Emily Peasgood will also be talking at the event, sharing her experiences as a female artist and discussing her upcoming exhibition at God’s House Tower this March.
You can also enjoy light bites and refreshments from the cafe and bar throughout the evening.
If you have any access needs or queries about the event, please contact enquiries@aspacearts.org.uk
Tuesday 8th March 2022 6pm - 10pm at GHT. Tickets are free and can be booked on Eventbrite.
