VOICE, RHYTHM & BELONGING: AN EMBODIED AFRO-DIASPORIC JOURNEY

Join performer and facilitator Liz Ikamba for a vibrant, participatory workshop exploring identity, migration and belonging through voice, rhythm, movement and collective creativity.

Together we’ll clap, stomp, sing, move and build layered rhythms while exploring accessible practices that support nervous system regulation, deepen body awareness and awaken our innate creativity. Rooted in trauma-informed and decolonising approaches, the workshop celebrates the wisdom of the body and the power of making music together.

You’ll learn songs, rhythms and movement inspired by African and contemporary diasporic traditions, including music from Liz’s own repertoire, performed in a blend of Lingala and English.

An invitation to celebrate the beautiful bodies and voices we were born with through joyful, shared creative expression.
