Hooked Rug Making with Rebecca Holley
Produce a unique hooked textile panel using reclaimed fabrics to your own design.
Learn the traditional method of hooked rag rugging. Using your unwanted fabrics and clothing, create a small mat and the skills to make larger pieces for your home.
You will be supplied with all the specialist tools needed to make a small textile panel, including hessian stretched frames, hooks, prodders, rotary cutter and mat. These will be available to purchase after the workshop.
You will need to bring a design or inspiration for a design, a selection of fabrics, patterned and plain, which can include clothes (t-shirts are good), offcuts, old curtains etc, and suitable fabric scissors.
