GATHER UP hosts a day long workshop, inviting celebrated dance artists to share their practice and interests in a spirit of reciprocal enquiry, and to open up new conversations and ideas.
The workshops are open to the curiosity of people who work with dance, performance, movement and/or choreographic processes.
STARTING FROM A PLACE OF COMFORT | A WORKSHOP WITH ROSEMARY LEE
“I would like to focus the workshop on finding a place of non-judgemental, ease and flow in our movement. I will work with a somatic approach to the movement tasks and stimuli using ideokinesis and imagery to help participants find, enjoy and expand their comfort zone. Taking plenty of time to move first and foremost, there will also be time to chat and reflect. It feels so important to come together safely to move and affirm our delight in the power of dancing alone and together, and support each other in that. I am also happy to answer questions about my choreographic practice if that is helpful to anyone.”
