From Trawlers to Twilight
New work by Trevor Thorne, looking at the working lives of trawlers, and the temporal nature of their condition as a metaphor for our own existence.
Many of the paintings are executed on steel sheets, deliberately weathered by sea water. The work follows a close observance of, and immersion in, the fishing village of Newlyn.
