Aspex Portsmouth warmly invites you to enjoy an evening of immersive art, music and communal dancing, after hours.
Aspex Portsmouth warmly invites you to Friday Late, an exciting new event where you can explore our contemporary exhibitions outside of our normal opening hours, and enjoy an evening of art, music and communal dancing.
Inspired by the themes of ☰pa●○pa☴, our current exhibition by artist Rae-Yen Song, DJ Michelle Ezeuko will bring contemplative music to transport visitors to the alternative realms found within Song’s exhibition.
Textile artist and current artist-in-residence Alice Hume will also be hosting a paper cordage workshop in response to ☰pa●○pa☴, in particular the repurposed and recycled materials from the artists paternal grandmother. In the workshop, you'll use scraps of colourful papers to create cord which can be turned into a decorative knot. You can also bring along your own scrap coloured or patterned tissue papers to use.
The bar will also be open throughout the evening serving refreshments.
