Floral Painting

During this one-day mixed media Floral Painting workshop, you’ll explore expressive approaches to floral subjects using a range of artist-quality materials. Under the guidance of Natalie Bedford, Fine Art graduate and experienced tutor, you’ll begin with observational drawing techniques using wax, charcoal, and erasers to build dynamic marks and tonal contrasts.

You’ll then move into painting with gouache, learning how to apply colour theory to create rhythm, variety, and interest across your composition. The session will finish with the addition of soft chalks to bring depth and vibrancy to your final piece.

Floral Expressions is suitable for beginners and experienced artists alike and welcomes participants of all ages. It is structured enough to support you, but loose enough to encourage personal expression. By the end of the day, you’ll have created a unique floral painting to take home and be proud of.
