Experimental Photography at the Clifton Suspension Bridge

Use his­tor­i­cal tech­niques to build your own cam­eras and make and devel­op your own pho­to­graph­ic paper in this excit­ing prac­ti­cal all-day workshop.

Join Bristol’s own Justin Quinnell, a world expert in experimental and pinhole photography, for this full day Experimental Photography workshop at Clifton Suspension Bridge. This hands-on, practical workshop from 11am-4pm will teach you about the fascinating world of pinhole photography and other experimental alternative photographic processes.

Throughout the day you will discover:
Turmeric photography
Camera obscuras
Cyanotypes
Solargraphy
DSLR pinhole
Chemigami-origrammes
A variety of approaches using a use a pinhole camera.

The workshop will begin with a short talk by Justin on his own creative practice followed by a full day of activities, including usage of a temporary darkroom. All participants will make many images throughout the day to take home with them.
