Exhibition of Paintings by Ieuan Holt

Ieuan embarked on a career with the Merchant Navy but came to realise it was not for him. He opted instead to pursue writing and painting and is currently in his final year at the University of Plymouth completing his Honours degree in English and Creative Writing.

He combines his abstract paintings with words to produce a form of visual poetry through which he can express his emotions, his silent voice. Drawing from his experience in the Navy, from the sea, the ships, the docks, he favours inks and watercolours of dark blues, greys, oranges, and browns ...and a splash of uplifting pink!
