Earthed: Papermaking inspired by place
In this workshop led by artist Jane Ponsford she will talk about how she uses paper making to describe and explore landscape. She will reflect on some of the ways she and ceramicist Kim Norton worked during their 9 month project, Earthbound and share approaches and techniques.
You can also find out a little about the history and traditions of papermaking, and learn how to transform cotton rag pulp into small sheets of paper or into different forms, colour and stain them with natural inks & locally gathered pigments. Explore the medium through a practical workshop with demonstrations and individual attention.
