Creative Thinking About Funding
Learn how you can navigate the funding landscape as a Creative Practitioner
Through an artist-centred approach this is a practical, discursive, insightful and instructive talk to help artists at all stages of their careers. Rosalind will run through the fundamental aspects of considering funding and the different types of funding possibilities out there, tactics to employ for approaching these strands and top tips on how to bring together a campaign. Part of a funding bid Is to be entrepreneurial and creative in whom might fund your work and thinking outside of prescribed routes that are often oversubscribed and highly competitive.
What you will get from the session:
1. Fundamental and philosophical building blocks of approaching a funding proposal
2. Building agency and strategy in how you move in the sector
3. How to spot, seize, create and maximize opportunities to help create a legacy for yourself as an artist and to help springboard new possibilities and projects as a result.
