Collection Conversations - Nicholas Herbert & John Law
In September’s instalment of our free art talk series, we will be joined by Nicholas Herbert and John Law.
Nicholas Herbert studied at the Central School of Art & Design, followed by a degree in visual communication at the Bath Academy of Art, Corsham. Since 2012, he has concentrated on creating a series of small, intimate, mixed-media drawings of English and Italian landscapes, where the transient, temporal, isolation and vulnerability are important underlying strands.
John Law studied at the Bath Academy of Art, Corsham, followed by the Royal Academy of Fine Art, The Hague. He returned to teach at the Bath Academy of Art and then Bath Spa University, where he was Principal Lecturer and Course Director of the MA in Interactive Multimedia. Initially working in abstract sculpture, he is now known for his panoramic photography for print and virtual reality.
