Tickets available at - https://bristolbeacon.org/buy/super-cool-drawing-machine-2021/
Appearing in much-loved independent music venues across the country, Yuppie music present the accessible, innovative, and varied art exhibition aptly named Super Cool Drawing Machine (SCDM). The touring exhibition of musician’s artwork will host works from Bristol’s Big Jeff and will kick off the Bristol Beacon’s post lockdown events. All 14 paintings in Phase One of 'Welcome To My World' will be displayed for Jeff’s first physical exhibition since unleashing his art earlier this year. The exhibition boasts a dynamic group of music enthusiasts that have a similar love and talent for the wider arts. This includes former Maccabees frontman, Orlando Weeks, UK jazz pioneer Shabaka
Hutchings, Mercury-nominated Welsh singer/producer, Cate Le Bon, experimental folk artist Richard Dawson and African American Experimentalist Lonnie Holley.
The exhibition celebrates a vast range of visual art created by internationally acclaimed musicians. Initially, SCDM was born from Sam Tucker’s artistic frustration after witnessing his core business diminished by the Covid-19 pandemic. Instead, he called upon another creative facet to fill the void. The exhibition aspires to bring vibrancy and creativity back into many of the UK’s most treasured music spaces, including the Bristol Beacon. As the list of showcasing artist increases, SCDM will exhibit media spanning from paintings, photography, ceramics, digital installations, recycled arts, sculpture and furniture.
Big Jeff’s artwork will be available to buy from the SCDM exhibition. As part of the four- day display in Bristol, Jeff will be hovering around, sketching, chatting and enjoying the festivities alongside the epic community of Bristol creatives.
