You're invited to join us for an evening of discussion with current exhibiting artist Ebun Sodipo, as she reflects on the process and ideas behind her powerful and poetic practice.

Explore how Sodipo’s exhibition Traces of the Non-Existent came together, discover the ideas and themes behind the artists powerful installations, and hear more about her process and inspirations.

The talk will be followed by a Q&A session, chaired by artist and writer-in-residence Oluwatobiloba Ajayi, offering you the chance to ask your own questions.

About the speakers

Ebun Sodipo was featured in Frieze’s ‘Ten Artists to Watch in 2025’ and has exhibited at notable galleries and institutions, including recent solo exhibitions Nasty Girl (The Sharpest Girl in Town) at V.O Curations, London (2023) and The Edge Sheen of a Cut at VITRINE Gallery, Basel (2023). Her work has also appeared in group exhibitions at Hauser & Wirth, Somerset (2024); Neven Gallery, London (2024); and FACT, Liverpool (2022), among others.

Oluwatobiloba Ajayi is a London-based artist and writer. She holds a BA in Architecture from Princeton University and an MA from the Courtauld Institute of Art, where she specialised in post-war Black British Art. Informed by anti-, post-, and decolonial theory and Black radical thought, her work centres on the importance of space within Black feminist epistemologies. Her writing has appeared in The Architectural Review, Elephant, Worms, and Frieze, among others. Recent group exhibitions include Amphiphrasis (words as objects): Oluwatobiloba Ajayi and Theresa Hak Kyung Cha at the Broodthaers Society of America, NY(2024), and Manifold Lagos at Alára (2024).
