A WEEKEND OF SPRING THINGS

Free workshops, walks and Helston Quest’

The workshops at CAST on Saturday 22 March are part of a wondrous weekend of free activities organised by Helston Place Shaping Board with support from Cornwall Council's Town Delivery Fund.

Several CAST studio holders are involved: The Seaweed Institute is offering a 'Spring Tide Wheel' making workshop; Bronwen Buckeridge is mapping laughter and bird song around the paths of St Michael's Church, and Ben Sanderson is leading a 'Wandering Verse' poetry walk.

On the evening of Friday 21 March there will be a 'Jazz Jam' in the garden at Number 42 Coinagehall Street. And on Saturday 22 there will be pasty making in the Guildhall, an exploration of archaeology at the Museum of Cornish Life, a plant exchange in the Band Room and the opportunity to be part of a one-day choir. Don't miss Discovering42’s new touring science exhibition, which will offer a fun, collaborative workshop bringing science and creativity together at Trevow Helston, the old cemetery chapel on Meneage Road.

You can find a full line-up of what's on offer at helstonspringthing.com and pick up a Quest sheet, to put your knowledge, observation and curiosity to the test, from CAST, the Museum of Cornish and a number of shops around town.
