Visitor Services Assistant
We are looking for Visitor Services Assistants to join our busy team, to oversee and support the front of house activities.
The Visitor Services Assistant will provide a welcoming, safe, and accessible service and have the flexibility to work across all Arnolfini’s front facing functions including Shop, Welcome Desk, Internal & External Public Programming activities, and commercial hires. The Visitor Services Assistant will support the day-to-day running of the visitor offer. You will ensure our safeguarding policy and health and safety policy and guidelines are followed across all Arnolfini’s public spaces.
The Role
You will be the first point of contact for visitors including the general public, clients, stakeholders and contractors. You will help to provide a warm welcome, excite and assist visitors and promote the events and exhibition programme.
Who are we looking for?
You will have experience working in a customer facing role. You are calm under pressure and can handle emergency situations and support the delivery of a busy programme.
You will have an interest in contemporary art or cultural organisations and be passionate about making culture and the arts accessible for all.
Visitor Services Assistant x 1
Working Hours: A two-week rota of 10.30am-6.15pm shifts, equating to an average 24hour week.
Working every Thursday and Friday and every other Saturday and Sunday.
You must be available to work evenings and weekends. Overtime is available.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £19,760 per annum (paid on a pro-rata basis), which equates to £9.50 per hour, £11,856 actual salary.
Casual Visitor Services Assistant
Working Hours: Shifts can vary and will include weekends and evenings. 3-12 hour shifts between the hours of 8am-12am as required according to the needs of the business.
Covering holiday and absence of the permanent Assistants.
Contract: Zero Hours/Casual
Pay: £9.50 per hour plus holiday pay
With these roles there may be the opportunity to progress into a supervisory role on a casual basis to cover holiday and absence or events.
The start date is planned for as soon as possible.
