East Quay is offering a 5‑week residency slot in our sought-after Studio 10 Project Space to a Somerset-based artist.
East Quay is delighted to offer a 5-week residency slot in our sought-after Studio 10 Project Space to a Somerset-based artist.
The residency will also coincide and run as part of East Quay’s offering in this year’s Somerset Arts Week Festival, taking place between the 30 August - 6 October 2024. We are accepting proposals from individuals, groups, and collectives from artists working in all mediums.
While we have not outlined a specific theme for the residency, we encourage artists to consider the theme of ‘Landscape - Flux and Flow’, aligning with the 2024 Somerset Arts Week Festival. This suggested theme is not intended to be prescriptive, but a guide for questions of interest and engagement that we consider have
Are you eligible?:
East Quay defines ‘Somerset-based’ in line with Somerset Council’s five districts: Sedgemoor, West Somerset, Taunton Deane, South Somerset, and Mendip. Somerset-based artists must have at least one of the following connections to Somerset:
- Has grown up in Somerset
- Has attended a school in Somerset within the last 10 years
- Is a resident of Somerset
- Has a Studio in Somerset
The residency dates:
Friday 30 August - Sunday 6 October 2024
Production Budget and Honorarium:
Contains Art CIO is offering the following fees (inclusive of any VAT) to cover artists fee(s), materials, and equipment needed to produce the work during the residency: £1,200
