Curator/Programme Manager
Aspex is looking for a driven and critically-engaged person with a passion for contemporary visual art to be their Curator/Programme Manager.
Aspex is looking for a driven and critically engaged person with a passion for contemporary visual art, significant experience of working with artists and a ‘can do’ attitude to join our team. The Curator/Programme Manager will be joining Aspex as we build on our 40+ year history of providing opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience contemporary visual art – from looking and discussing, to making and curating.
As Curator/Programme Manager, you will be responsible for programming, fundraising and delivering exhibitions, projects, residencies/artist support activities, associated events on and off-site and contribute fully to audience development. You will also oversee the Crafts & Retail aspects of our business development.
Interviews will be held on Tuesday 15 November with three members of the Aspex team (Director, Joanne Bushnell; Learning Programme Manager, Dianna Djokey; and Chair of Trustees, Dr. Dawn Langley).
On Thursday 20 October, 3-4pm we will hold an Open Afternoon at the gallery for anyone interested in finding out more about the Curator/Programme Manager role. This will be an informal opportunity to talk to Joanne Bushnell and other team members, to find out more about the post and Aspex.
