Alys Scott-Hawkins

I'm an artist based in Southampton, and I work freelance across the South West supporting creative people of all kinds with their work and projects.

Working together one-to-one via video call or in my studio, I can help you to:

- reflect, strategise and overcome obstacles

- plan and deliver projects

- make funding applications and proposals

- regular monthly support for focus, problem-solving and accountability

I also deliver talks, run workshops and host events.

This work draws on my experiences over 20 years since graduating from the Royal College of Art, including 12 years running my own creative business as an animation director, teaching at BA & MA level at arts universities across London & the South, and working in arts organisations. From 2022-26 I was a member of the advisory panel for Artists Now, the UK's largest membership organisation for artists (formerly a-n).

My approach is to treat everyone I work with as an individual, to 'meet you where you're at' and start talking from there. I work with people with a wide range of different needs and aptitudes. If you have questions or would like to book in a meeting, please get in touch!
