Women and Lens-Based Media
Curator Ros Carter will lead an exhibition tour, and Susan Beckett, Director of City Eye, will discuss the importance of women’s film/media networks.
Artists Pia Arke and Gayle Chong Kwan, whose work is currently on display at John Hansard Gallery in two new solo exhibitions investigate themes of nationhood, island communities and colonialism through a female lens. Short films by Lise Autogena & Joshua Portway and Julie Edel Hardenberg are also on show, as part of a group film programme running alongside the Pia Arke exhibition.
