THIS IS NOT A FILM CLUB lets you choose what you watch, from indie and art-house films to beloved classics!

In celebration of Southampton Pride 2026, we are showcasing a unique selection of Queer Hollywood Pre-Code films. For those who don’t know, the Pre-Code era was a time of lightened censorship in 1930s Hollywood before the implementation of the Hays Code, where more controversial themes and subject matters could be explored by directors without restriction.

The voting will then close a week before the event, so don’t forget to check back! You’ll find out what film you’ll be watching when you arrive on the night and we’ll be asking viewers to rate the film as well, as to contribute to a blind vote for the following month’s viewing.
