The Unseen, The Felt, The Real
A series of visual, audio and sculptural works by Bristol-based artists Sarah Harper and Matt Mclean.
The Unseen, The Felt, The Real is a series of visual, audio and sculptural works by Bristol-based artists Sarah Harper and Matt Mclean.
Sarah Harper is an installation artist who explores her sense of being within themes of emotional heaviness and disconnection. Her work often explores the viewer's relationship with her artwork and how this reflects their own relationship with emotion. Exploring themes of sublimity, dominance and vulnerability; her work often takes the form of dark, large-scale, masses.
Matt McLean is currently attempting to start his own religion. However, he hasn’t made much progress towards this endeavour, as he spends most of his time alone assembling delicate simulacra of the clamorous life-forms that nibble on his skull.
