An exhibition of work made possible by the mixing of paint, the scraper, the stick. Large & small abstract paintings
The Painted Scraper, inspired by Shelley's quoted sonnet 'lift not the painted veil which those who live, call life'. I’m not entirely sure what Shelley meant by the painted the veil, perhaps the artists work, perhaps the artist themselves, but for me the scraper, along with the mixing of the paint are as much a part of the painting as the work seen on the boards & canvas.
