The Island Open Studios 2024
The Island is celebrating its sweet sixteenth this October, joining up with Centrespace studios to celebrate art in the city centre.
With over 100 artists working from The Island it’s rich pickings for the Studio Holder’s Exhibition opening on Friday 11th, 4 - 7pm. Artists will also have their doors open to view their studios and learn about their creative processes.
On Saturday the 12th artists will again open their studio doors, pop into Graft workshop’s studio on the ground floor for some badge making or add your own self-portrait to the portrait gallery. Bring the family along for a Juggling workshop or join in a laughter workshop. There’s the chance to try out free dance and circus taster classes. Some classes need to be booked in advance, some are drop in, see the website for full details.
On Sunday the Studio Holder’s exhibition will be open but the rest of the building will be closed as the team take a well earned rest.
