Tessellating Sculpture Workshop
Tessellating Sculpture Workshop led by exhibiting artist Alistair Lambert
Join artist Alistair Lambert to use simple techniques to quickly and easily cut out and assemble interlocking elements to form three dimensional sculptural structures. Using a mixture of reclaimed and reused materials, how your forms develop and adapt to the space around them is up to you. No prior experience necessary.
Refreshments provided – there will be a half hour break for lunch so please bring a packed lunch. Part of the session may involve working outside in the secret garden so please come prepared for the weather!
About the artist: Alistair Lambert has been running sculpture workshops for over thirty years and aims to share his enthusiasm and fascination with this simple way of making complex forms so that you too can follow wherever it leads you. You can see Alistair’s slate sculpture ‘Miasma’ emerging from a disused fireplace and expanding into the exhibition space of the current THG OPEN 2023 show.
