STUDIO DO: Leach Pottery Takeover
Join us during the May half term holidays and have fun making with clay
Take part in a collaborative drop-in workshop celebrating spring, creativity, and community.
Three large hand-thrown pots, made from local clay, will form the focus of the drop in making sessions in our Foyle Studio. Visitors of all ages are invited to come to the studio and create sprig decorations — small decorative forms that will be added to the surfaces of these collaborative vessels.
Taking inspiration from the imagery of Bernard Leach, who you can find in Tate St Ives' collection displays, participants can explore motifs such as flowers, animals, and simple repeating patterns. Once complete, the collaborative pots will be glazed and given a permanent home in St Ives at Leach Pottery.
