Still Life - Touchstone of the painter
Ten still life painting classes on Thursday afternoons. We will be working on small 6 inch square boards, painting in oil or if you prefer, acrylics.
If you already have some painting experience and are seeking to further develop your skills, these still life classes are tailored just for you. The classes are not intended for beginners, but rather for those who wish to build upon their previous painting knowledge and refine their techniques, this course will help you achieve your goals.
Enhance your understanding of colour theory and gain an appreciation for the unique qualities of painting with oil or acrylics. Learn the techniques for setting out your palette and accurately mixing colours, develop effective brush skills and the art of capturing light & tone, plus a little art history…
Matthew’s painting class is held in the charming and inviting Old Pavilion Studio at the School of Art and Wellbeing in Devon.
