Sally Baldwin is a finalist in the THG Open 2023. Her work 'Lost' is a development of a body of work called Fragile Earth, which deals with the fragility of the environment in the face of climate change and habitat loss. Fragile Earth was exhibited at THG this year (14 January - 4 March). Fragile Earth was recently awarded the Presidents Prize by sculptor Peter Randall Page at the Summer Exhibition of Make South West.

Sally is a textile artist based in mid-Devon. In the past her work has been based on natural forms, in particular botanical structures, but more recently she has been creating work about the threat to our finely-balanced ecosystems from climate change. She uses stitch, collage and sculpting to create two and three dimensional pieces using papers of all kinds, including handmade, and silks and waste silk fibres.
