RISO Christmas Card Workshop
Spend a day with Roots Press to design and Riso print your own set of eco-friendly Christmas Cards.
Often described as a cross between screen printing and photocopying, Risograph printing uses vivid soy-based inks, uncoated recycled papers and uses very little energy, making it an incredibly eco-friendly printing method with a unique aesthetic. During this workshop we will explain the printing process, show you lots of Riso printed examples. If you have already attended our introduction to Risograph workshop, you will be able to build on your skills with four new festive colour designs!
During this 4 hour workshop, you’ll produce unique collages which will then be duplicated on the Risograph printer into a set of Christmas or Greeting Cards to send to your loved ones.
All materials are provided however you are welcome to bring along any printed images or typography, photographs or sketches that you would like to include (however be prepared to cut them up!)
By the end of the workshop, you will have 20 x A5 Cards (or 40 x A6 if you prefer)
There is also the opportunity to print more cards at a small further cost on the day if you wish.
This workshop takes place in the Roots Press Studio, with tea and coffee and all materials provided.
