RIPE Live: RIPE Pears #01 / Anna Marris
RIPE Live is back! Join us as we launch RIPE Pears #01 at the Alfred Arcade and a solo show by Anna Marris at the Hidden Wardrobe.
RIPE Live: RIPE Pears #01 will feature a showcase of new works by local and emerging artists, plus a live DJ set and drinks at the Alfred Arcade and the Alfred Arms.
🍐 Explore our latest RIPE exhibition at the Alfred Arcade, Ripe Pears #01, the first in a two-part exhibition of outstanding work by a group of recent graduates from Solent University and Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton.
The project provides an opportunity for a group of emerging artists to exhibit a recent body of work in a new space, the Alfred Arcade. The artists will meet, exhibit and engage in critical debate; forming networks and friendships that will help them sustain a fruitful visual arts practice here in Southampton.
👩🎨 We will also be celebrating the launch of a new solo exhibition by Anna Marris in the windows of the Hidden Wardrobe.
🍺 Plus, you can grab a drink and enjoy some music at The Alfred Arms from 8pm: Benji Heinke will play a set to celebrate the 5th anniversary of his debut album release, followed by the talented DJs of Nothin' to do Soundsystem @nothintodosoundsystem

Led by ‘a space’ arts, in partnership with Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton and Solent University, RIPE is an ambitious programme of exhibitions, events and residencies at the Alfred Arcade, the Hidden Wardrobe and the Alfred Arms on Old Northam Road. The programme supports graduate artists in the city to exhibit and engage in artistic exchange and experimentation, forming networks and friendships that will help them sustain a fruitful visual arts practice.
