Celebrate identities with a collaborative mural.
This work has been created by local young people from YAY! Intercom Trust.
YAY! (Young and Yourself) supports young people in Cornwall aged 13–25 who identify as LGBTQ+. They deliver a range of services to support LGBTQ+ individuals, their families and communities, providing a safe and relaxed space to meet other LGBTQ+ people of a similar age.
The group worked with artist Tom Stockley to explore Tate St Ives’s exhibitions and displays. They experimented with art and explored ways of making collaborative and inclusive spaces for young people at the gallery.
The artwork celebrates individual interests coming together as a community. After its residency at Tate St Ives it will have a permanent home at Intercom Trust’s new community centre in Truro.
